URL to Video: Turn Your Article Link into a Video
For bloggers and marketers who already have the words: paste your article link and get a narrated, captioned video, with every sentence kept as you wrote it.
Only use articles you own or have permission to use. This builds a new video from text; it doesn't save existing videos.
What Is URL to Video?
Finding b-roll, adding subtitles and syncing a voiceover can take hours, even for a 50-second video.
URL to video does that part for you. Paste a link to a public article and the tool:
- reads the main text of the page
- splits it into short scenes at sentence breaks
- finds stock footage for each scene
- adds an AI voiceover, your own recording, or captions only
- burns the captions into the picture
- exports an MP4 (or WebM if your browser can't write MP4)
The video is built and exported in your browser. You check every scene before you export.
How to Turn a URL into a Video
- 1
Paste your article link
You see the title and paragraphs. Untick any paragraph you don't want.
- 2
Check each scene
Each scene shows its text and footage keywords. Edit a keyword or swap the clip.
- 3
Export your video
Pick AI voice, your own audio or captions only. Export and download the file.
URL to Video Use Cases
Bloggers with a back catalog
Old posts still get read, but you have no time to edit a video for each one. Each post becomes a video you can upload to YouTube and embed back in the article.
Paste the post URL, check the scenes, export in 16:9.
Writers who want a one-minute summary
Free plans elsewhere often cap your videos or add a watermark. Here you get a short, captioned video of your best paragraphs, with no watermark.
Untick the paragraphs you don't need, then export in 9:16 or 1:1.
Training and course teams
Handbooks and guides sit in PDFs that people don't open. Each section can become a narrated video you share with a team or class.
Upload a text-based PDF on the PDF to video page.
Faceless story channels
Many tools rewrite your script and pick random clips. This one keeps your script word for word, over footage you chose.
Paste your script, fix any clip that doesn't fit, export in 9:16.
URL to Video Features
Keeps every word
Scenes are cut at sentence breaks. The tool never rewrites, summarizes or "improves" your text. Some video tools change your script; this one only cuts it, so the video says exactly what you published. Edit a word yourself if you want to.
Footage keywords you can see and change
Each scene shows the 1-3 keywords used to search for its clip. You see why a clip was picked instead of guessing. When a clip doesn't fit, type a better keyword or tap Swap.
Free, no watermark, no sign-up
Make as many videos as you like in your browser. No account, no watermark. You can publish the first video you make.
Three voice options
English AI voice that runs in your browser, your own recording (MP3, WAV or M4A), or captions only. Your recording is spread across the scenes and you can adjust each scene's length. Skip the voice entirely for silent autoplay feeds.
Three formats, captions burned in
Pick 9:16, 16:9 or 1:1, with two caption styles and three text-card styles for scenes without footage. Make a YouTube video and a vertical Short from the same post.
Your text stays in your browser
Pasted text, PDFs, audio files and AI voice are all processed in your browser. Only short footage keywords go to our stock search, so you can work with drafts you haven't published yet.
Choose Your Input
Article to video
Paste the full text of any article. Every sentence stays as written, and you can convert an article to video even if it's not online yet.
Blog to video
Paste a link to a public blog post and turn a blog post into a video for YouTube or Shorts.
PDF to video
Upload a text-based PDF, like a handbook or guide, and convert PDF to video without uploading the file anywhere.
Reddit story video generator
Paste the title and body of a story you wrote and make Reddit story videos in vertical format.
URL to Video vs. a Video Downloader
People search "URL to video" for two different things.
- A video downloader saves a video that already exists, like a YouTube or TikTok clip. We don't offer this.
- This tool reads the text of an article and makes a new video from it.
If you paste a YouTube, TikTok or other video link, the tool will tell you it only works with articles.
Free URL to Video with No Watermark
- No sign-up. Open the page and start.
- No watermark on any export.
- No limits on how many videos you make in your browser.
- Pasted text and files stay in your browser.
- Stock media from Pexels, used under the Pexels License.
What URL to Video Can't Do
Good fit if you already have the text and want a clean, captioned video from it.
Not a fit if you need:
- AI avatars or a cloned voice
- AI-generated video clips
- to download someone else's video
Limits to know:
- Only public pages that don't need a login can be read. Paywalled pages and pages that load text with scripts may fail. Paste the text instead.
- Images in the article aren't moved into the video. Footage comes from free stock libraries, or a text card.
- Free stock footage won't always match your topic. Check each scene and swap what doesn't fit.
- AI voice reads English only. For other languages, upload your own recording or use captions only.
- Videos over 10 minutes render slowly in a browser.
- Only use text you own or have permission to use.

URL to Video FAQ
Is this a URL to video downloader?
No. A downloader saves a video that already exists. This tool reads the text of an article and builds a new video from it, with stock footage, voice and captions. If you paste a YouTube or TikTok link, it will tell you it only works with articles.
Is it free, and is there a watermark?
Yes, it's free, and there is no watermark. Videos are rendered in your browser, so there is no count limit and no sign-up. Free exports are 720p. Pro, coming soon, adds server voices, server rendering for long and 1080p videos, and batch.
Do I need to sign up?
No. Open the page, paste a link or text, and make your video. There is no account to create and no email to enter. Nothing is saved to an account, so keep the tab open until you've downloaded your video.
Will it rewrite my article?
No. The tool only splits your text into scenes at sentence breaks. It doesn't rewrite, summarize or add words. If you join the scenes back together, you get your original text. You can still edit any scene's text yourself before export.
Which websites work?
It depends on the page. Public article pages that show their text without a login usually work. Paywalled posts, member-only pages and pages that load text with scripts may fail. When a page can't be read, the tool switches to Paste text so you can paste the article.
Is my content stored?
No. Pasted text, PDFs, audio and the AI voice all run in your browser and aren't sent to us. When you paste a link, our server fetches that one page so your browser can read it, and doesn't keep it. Short footage keywords go to our stock search.
Can I use the videos commercially?
It depends on your source text. Footage comes from Pexels and is used under the Pexels License. The AI voice model is licensed for commercial use. You are responsible for having the right to use the article or story you paste. We don't promise that any platform will monetize your videos.
How long can a video be?
There's no hard cap on the free plan. Longer articles make longer videos, and rendering in your browser slows down as the video grows. Past 10 minutes, expect a long wait and keep the tab open. Server rendering for long videos is coming with Pro.
