What is a Reddit story video generator?
A Reddit story video generator makes a vertical, captioned video from a story: a title card first, then the story read over footage, with captions burned in. It is a different thing from tools that write a Reddit-style story for you. This one does not write anything. It turns the text you give it into a video.
Paste the title and the body. The tool does not fetch posts from Reddit, and it does not collect anything from Reddit. Use a story you wrote, or one whose author has said you can use it.
How to make a Reddit story video
- 1
Paste the title and story
Put the title in the first box and the body in the second. Each stays in your browser.
- 2
Check the scenes
The first scene is a title card. The rest are cut at sentence breaks. Merge, split or fix words as you like.
- 3
Pick footage and a voice
Each scene gets stock footage from Pexels based on its keywords. Swap a clip, change a keyword, or switch to a text card. Choose the AI voice, your own audio or captions only.
- 4
Export vertical
9:16 is the default. Export the MP4 and download it.
What a 150-word story looks like
A story of about 150 words is roughly one minute of narration at an ordinary speaking pace, which is a comfortable length for a vertical clip. Here is how it breaks down:
- One title card scene.
- Roughly six to ten story scenes, each a sentence or two.
- Captions on every scene, in a bold box or a clean style.
If your story runs longer, untick slow paragraphs before you export. Shorter, tighter videos tend to be easier to follow in a vertical feed.
Use only content you have the right to
Posts on Reddit belong to the people who wrote them and are covered by Reddit's terms. Reading someone else's story aloud without permission can break those terms and copyright law. Before you paste anything:
- Use a story you wrote yourself.
- Or use a post only when its author has clearly said you can.
- When in doubt, rewrite the story as your own original piece.
A note on YouTube monetization
YouTube may decline to monetize channels that mostly read out other people's material with little original value. Nobody can promise a result here, and we don't. Writing your own stories, or adding your own commentary, gives a channel a better chance. Check YouTube's current monetization policies before you start.
Limits to know
- Only pasted text is accepted. There is no Reddit link import.
- The AI voice reads English only. Upload your own audio for another language.
- There is no separate background library. Footage comes from Pexels, matched by keyword, or a text card.
- Free exports are 720p, with no watermark.

Reddit Story Video Generator FAQ
Can it pull a story from a Reddit link?
No. The tool doesn't fetch anything from Reddit. Paste the title and body as text. Only use stories you wrote, or ones the author has said you can use. Other people's posts belong to their authors and are covered by Reddit's terms.
Can I monetize Reddit story videos on YouTube?
We can't promise that. YouTube may refuse to monetize videos that only read out other people's material with little original value. Writing your own stories, or adding your own commentary, gives a channel a better chance. Check YouTube's current monetization policies before you start.
What background footage can I use?
There's no separate background library. Each scene gets stock footage from Pexels, matched to keywords from that scene. Edit a keyword to search for something else, tap Swap for the next clip, or switch the scene to a text card. The first scene is a title card.
How long should a Reddit story video be?
It depends on where you post. Keep vertical videos short and tight, and check each platform's current length limit before you export. Cut slow paragraphs before you export.
Is it free without a watermark?
Yes. Make as many story videos as you like in your browser, with no watermark and no sign-up. Free exports are 720p. Pro, coming soon, adds more natural server voices, server rendering and batch for several stories at once.
