Terms of Service
Last updated: October 22, 2026
These Terms govern your use of Article to Video (the "Service"), available at https://article-to-video.pages.dev/ and run by an individual operator ("we", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. What the Service does
The Service helps you turn text into a video in your browser. You can paste text, upload a PDF, or paste a link to an article. The Service splits the text into scenes, suggests free stock images and clips from Pexels, adds an AI voiceover (or audio you upload), burns in captions, and exports an MP4 file on your device.
The free version needs no account, adds no watermark, and has no usage limits. Video processing runs on your own device, so speed and maximum length depend on your device and browser.
2. Content you use must be yours or licensed to you
You may only use text, PDFs, audio, and links that you wrote, own, or have permission to use. You are responsible for the content you put into the Service and for the videos you create and publish.
You must not use the Service to:
- turn other people's copyrighted articles, books, posts, or recordings into videos without permission;
- copy or reproduce posts from Reddit or other platforms that you did not write or do not have rights to;
- impersonate a real person, imitate a real person's voice, or create misleading or deceptive content;
- create content that is illegal, sexual, hateful, violent, harassing, or that sexualizes or endangers minors;
- show identifiable people in stock media in a bad or offensive light, or suggest that they endorse a product, service, or view;
- break the law or the rules of any platform where you publish.
We don't review or store the content you use, but we may block features or access if we learn they are being misused.
3. Article links
The link import feature is meant for your own articles or articles you have permission to use. When you import a link, our server requests that one page once and extracts its text. We do not crawl websites. We do not import pages that block automated access through robots.txt, pages behind a login or paywall, or video and social media pages. If an import fails, paste the text instead.
4. No video downloading
The Service does not download, copy, or convert videos from YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Reddit, or any other website, and we will not add this feature.
5. Stock media
Images and clips suggested by the Service come from Pexels and are subject to the Pexels License (https://www.pexels.com/license/). In short, under that license you may not sell unaltered copies of the media, redistribute it on other stock platforms, use it as part of a trademark, show identifiable people in a bad light, or imply that people or brands in the media endorse you. Pexels may change its license; check it before you publish. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Pexels. When the Pexels search is unavailable, the Service may suggest images found through Openverse that carry a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license, CC0, or a public domain mark. CC BY images require credit to the creator with a link to the license; the Service lists these credits for you to copy. Openverse does not verify licenses, so check the source page before you publish.
6. AI voiceover
AI voices are generated by an open-source speech model running in your browser. They are synthetic voices, not recordings of real people, and the Service does not offer voice cloning. If you upload your own audio, you must have the right to use it.
7. Ownership
You keep all rights you already have in your text, files, and audio. We claim no ownership of the videos you export. Third-party media inside your video remains subject to its own license (see section 5). The Service's own code, design, and branding belong to us.
8. Publishing and monetization
We make no promise that videos made with the Service will be accepted, recommended, or monetized by YouTube, TikTok, or any other platform. Platforms set their own rules, including rules about reused, repetitive, mass-produced, or AI-generated content. You are responsible for following them.
9. Paid plans
Paid plans are not available yet. Prices marked "coming soon" are shown to measure interest; clicking them does not charge you or collect payment details. If we launch paid plans, their prices, limits, renewal, cancellation, and refund rules will be added to these Terms and a Refund Policy before any payment is taken.
10. Availability and changes
The Service is provided free of charge and may change, be limited, or stop at any time. Third-party services we rely on (such as Pexels or the voice model host) may also change or become unavailable.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of scene suggestions, captions or pronunciation, and non-infringement. See also our Disclaimer at /disclaimer/.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or channel standing, arising from your use of the Service or the videos you create. Our total liability for any claim relating to the free Service is limited to USD 0, or the minimum amount allowed by applicable law if higher.
13. Copyright complaints
If you believe something on our website infringes your rights, email hello@howtallai.com with the page address, a description of the work, and your contact details. Because we do not host the videos users create, complaints about a published video should go to the platform where it is published.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The "Last updated" date shows when they last changed. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the place where the operator resides, unless mandatory consumer law of your country says otherwise.
